Celebrating Wellness Director’s Graduation from University of Maryland School of Pharmacy

In 2022, Cannabis Karma made a bold investment in the future of plant medicine by sponsoring Davina to attend the country’s first graduate-level cannabis program. After two years of rigorous study, she graduated in 2024 with a Master’s in Medical Cannabis Science & Therapeutics, along with a professional certificate in Cannabis Policy & Science.

Davina now leads The Cannabis Karma Senior Wellness Experience, a modular, culturally grounded education program co-created with Lifeluxee. The experience blends trusted cannabis science with joyful engagement through activities like Bud Bingo, Dank Plinko, Cannabis 101, Stoned Salutations, light movement, and creative arts—specifically tailored for adults aged 60+.

Currently offered at adult day programs, wellness centers, and senior facilities across the D.C. metro area, the program has expanded into Maryland and other states.

“There’s nothing else like this in our community,” said Davina Hale. “We center joy, movement, and real science. Our elders deserve more than stigma—they deserve education and care.”

With nearly a decade of service in wellness and education, Cannabis Karma continues to advance plant-based knowledge through programs, events, and initiatives that uplift the communities most often excluded from cannabis conversations.
